DEFINE believes strongly that a fulfilled life includes Excellence in Service.  Layton Peschke is an incredible example of that commitment. As a fire fighter, Layton serves as a first responder for the City of Houston. He began attending rev classes about a year ago and over the past 5 months he has been “rev’ing” often twice a day as he prepares to ride The “Texas Brotherhood Ride” that will honor the following law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in Dallas, Texas on July 9th, 2016:

  • Senior Cpl. Lorne Ahrens
  • Officer Michael Krol
  • Sgt. Michael Smith
  • Officer Brent Thompson
  • Officer Patricio “Patrick” Zamarripa

And the law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on July 17th, 2016:

  • Deputy Brad Garafola
  • Officer Matthew Gerald
  • Corporal Montrell Jackson

The Texas Brotherhood Ride is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity organization. Other than the cost of conducting the rides, all donated proceeds go directly to the beneficiaries of the fallen. No one is compensated for their time and all our team members sacrifice their own time with their family and work to participate in this event.

Layton knows the ride will be hard and believes strongly that the difficulty is intentional and brings attention to how difficult it is for the families who have lost their loved ones in the line of duty.

Layton also served 12 years in the Army and Texas National Guard that included two tours in Iraq in 2004 and 2009.

Layton and his wife Claudette enjoy “rev’ing” side by side in Bellaire’s evening classes.
